Scenario I: TubeMagic D2 DAC with PC, Mac or Linux PC
- USB connection will be the best connection method. RAW digital audio signal is passed to the TubeMagic DAC to let it do the digital-to-analog converting and analog processing / output.
- No driver required for Windows, MacOS and Linux. Tenor 7022L chip used in the TubeMagic D2 has native support with all major operation systems.
- If you want to play native 24-Bit/96KHz music, you can use a USB, Coaxial or Optical connection. These connections will pass unprocessed 24-Bit/96KHz audio directly to the DAC and let it do the digital-to-analog converting.
- You will find the sound quality from TubeMagic D2 DAC to be natural, transparent and in greater detail.
- You can plug the D2 into your existing music setup, whether it is amplifier+ speakers, headphone amplifier, powered speakers or 2.1 speakers (powered speakers plus sub-woofer).
Scenario II: TubeMagic D2 DAC with AppleTV, Apple Airport Express, Squeezebox, Sonos, digital iPod dock, Blu-ray player, DVD/CD player, Game Console, or digital media adapter
- Optical, coaxial or coaxial BNC digital connection will be the best connection method. RAW digital audio signal is passed to the TubeMagic D2 DAC to let it do the digital-to-analog converting and analog processing / output.
- Optical and coaxial connections support up to 24bit/96khz audio signal.
- You will find the sound quality from TubeMagic D2 DAC to be stronger, with better bass and more detailed.
- You can plug the D2 into your existing music setup, whether it is amplifier+ speakers, headphone amplifier, powered speakers or 2.1 speakers (powered speakers plus sub-woofer).
- If you have a headphone with high impedance and power requirement, you can use the DAC as a dedicated headphone amplifier to enjoy much better sound quality.
